What's happening in Music!

The excitement in Music continues through November at Roy Bickell Public School:

It has been all about Camille Saint-Saëns' 'Carnival of Animals' in general Music as younger grades work with movements and actions, as they explore the songs associated with each animal featured in the piece. The older grades have been working to create a classroom display featuring the different animals. It has been so fun to see the humour and effort put into theses animal illustrations.

Our Program of Choice Grade 5 Music students have started to learn simple and familiar tunes on recorders and percussion, while our Grade 6 students are exploring and trying out the various instruments that are available to play in band and orchestra classes.

Grade 7 and 8 Band and Orchestra have been learning (more!) notes and developing our skills on our own instruments in class. Soon we will be starting to learn and practice songs for a December performance!
